Beware of Katherina's Nail Services I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but after my experience, I feel it’s necessary to warn others about Katherina. First Appointment: The first time I did my nails with Katherina, she was working from home. I have very thin, bendable nails and informed her of this, emphasizing the need for strong gel products. She told she was experienced and was using the strongest gels. Despite this, my nails began breaking within days. When I returned, she claimed my nails were too damaged and needed a month to rest, promising a 50% discount for the next appointment. Second Appointment: After waiting for two months, I booked another session at her new salon (at this location Javastraat 102) for short French nails. She told me she uses a specific brand that Is stronger so If I could choose my colors within that brand. Okay I was happy with that. She wanted to charge me €60, €10 more than the previous time, without informing me of the price increase. I reminded her of my discount, she was not pleased but still she gave me the discount, although the gel sides started cracking within days, and one nail broke after two weeks. I didn’t make this a problem and booked another appointment due to an upcoming important wedding. Third Appointment: This time, I requested short almond/oval-shaped nails with a pearly finish. After finishing the Russian manicure I again asked which colors were from the strong gel brand so I could select. She then told me that the lamp is broken so she couldn’t apply that brand. I was not pleased with that of course and told her she knows my nails will break down with flexible gel. She said that it wouldn’t cause she will apply a new technique and it would all be okay. I said okay, but If it breaks you know It’s a problem. She completed the nails in just one hour (!!!), which seemed rushed considering the required steps. After I told her that It went very fast and asked If she is sure the nails cured good. (I had to take my hand every 20 seconds out while applying the bottled gel she was doing it fast).She said yes. This was the new technique. During the manicure, she cut two nails deeply, causing one to get thick and painful for one week. The pearly finish lost its shine in two days, and the gel began peeling by day four. By day 6 one of the gel nails peeled off fully. Afterall: All of the nails peeled off at day 8. Every one of them. Customer Service: When I contacted her for a partial refund, she ignored my messages for several days. She finally responded, claiming that nails couldn’t break on their own (despite we had this problem the first time too and despite she applied the flexible gel knowingly, despite she rushed) and that she only offered a one-week guarantee. (I messaged her on day 7) She also made a bizarre comment about not allowing eating in her studio, although I had only been eating MUNTDROP (candy) and she never said anything (I offered her and she laughed). I asked for a partial refund of €35, since I paid €65 for nails that peeled off not even in a week, that seemed fair. After a lot of discussion (where I really was friendly) she offered to pay €25 back. I told her I would be comprising to €30 but not lower. She simply said no need to bargain with me and never ever responded again. Despite being friendly and reasonable in my communication (and refund request), Katherina refused to refund me or respond to me appropriately and eventually deleted me from her instagram AND CHANGED HER INSTAGRAM NAME ALSO. (Also posting other nails) Her unprofessionalism and inability to work with different nail types are clear. She does not work with quality products as promised and is not that experienced as said. I do not recommend her services. In summary, Her services are subpar, and her customer care is lacking. If you value your nails and your money, seek a more professional technician. PS: Never had this problem like with her. I go to a regular professional for years. My regular salon only moved somewhere far so I was trying tech’s in my area. Went back there:)

I come for laser to Olga from Amsterdam because the service and the way Olga treats her customers are worth it. She is super attentive to details, explains and takes note of each step applying an individual approach.Tasty coffee is a great bonus afterwards.I highly recommend this place even if it takes time and energy to come there from another city🪶🌸see you

Update 07/07: The address has changed to number 112, but the owner’s name remains the same. What would you suggest? The only thing I will say is, if she were in the right, she would have contacted me to discuss the matter, written a statement, or tried to clear her name, correct? Dear reader, please be aware. As of now, Olga Laser, you still follow her and she follows you. As an outsider, I would recommend severing ties with her because she will not help you grow but instead hold you back. This is unfair to the quality work you deliver. I will not leave any further reviews here since she is no longer associated with your business. 05/07 Two weeks ago, I left a review about Kateryna. Five days ago, Olga Laser responded, stating that Kateryna had rented a space there and no longer works at Javastraat 102. On Sunday, June 30, Kateryna messaged me, saying she doesn’t work for Olga Laser and claimed my review was unreasonable, accusing me of trying to get a discount, which is not true. I answered but without a reply then she blocked me. Today, on July 4, I noticed on another Instagram account that Kateryna still lists the address Javastraat 102 on her page. Additionally, she follows Olga Laser on Instagram, and Olga Laser follows her back. For me this confirms that both Olga Laser and Kateryna are possibly not being honest in their communication and service. Please be cautious of people who are not truthful. Furthermore, I have all the messaging history with Kateryna and can prove that I am telling the truth. Kateryna, can you prove your claims? I also want to state that I am not trying to tarnish the reputation of the entire salon. I believe Olga Laser does excellent work, as evidenced by their many positive reviews. I just hoped they were sincere in their response to my initial review. Additionally, I am not engaging in any form of hate speech. Losing the money doesn’t significantly affect me, but I want to warn people with a budget about the quality of work provided by this nail technician.
